Synopsis - Introducing Squad 'Clownfish'

It is year 20XX.

The world’s shores, islands, and waterfront cities came under sudden and rampant sieges of then unknown, intelligent deep-water species called "Leviathans." The attacks were so forceful that, in a matter of a few months, the mankind discovered that its very existence was now being questioned by the ultra-supremacy of the invaders. Decimated populations, disbanded and stranded on the few land blocks that they still claimed, soon lost mutual contact as the blockades of seas and channels – now Leviathans’ habitats - separated them.

A band of soldiers, naval servicemen, engineers, and ordinary citizens found its refuge on the eastern rim of the Continent, founding a settlement and eventually coming to call itself the Dominion. Over the years, it formed a self-government and a militia that evolved into a small but effective navy.

Leviathans’ small size and utter agility underwater has defied any use of conventional naval weaponry, i.e. frigates, subs, or ASROCs. This led to introduction of one-manned powered versatile gear equipped with a propulsion system and firearms (PVG). The catch? The PVG’s sheer vertical mobility, per its specifications, has rendered any attempt at compressing or decompressing implausible – meaning any crew will die from the bends after the first dive, without exception. The solution? The PVG donner will train, develop superb freediving capabilities, and remain breath-held for the duration of the tactical engagement.

Considering the Dominion’s prevalent lack of human resources, it was not peculiar that the navy’s Cadet Training Corps (CTC) opened its enlistment to very young candidates. And there were not few that came to the call – male and female alike.

The past few decades were wholly spent in defense and survival. But now, with its strengths slowly re-growing, the Dominion has a new purpose: to counterattack, to reopen, to reunite. So that the world could again be reclaimed and refurbished by the human civilization – or what was still left of it.
