Somehow, I was phasing out of my panic, and my senses slowly came back. I noticed that Michiru had me in a tight embrace, and her soft lips were tightly pressed against mine, sealing off the water. I was, as a matter of fact, coughing hard into her mouth cavity. But Michiru held on, unpeturbed - and the slight gurgling that came up from her throat meant that she was swallowing the saltwater and the saliva I had thrown up, for me, to save me from drowning.

I was horrified. Whatever she claimed she was, no regular human being would be able to do this feat - we had stayed underwater for close to two minutes, I guessed, and on top of that Michiru had been swimming far ahead of me but had halted and come back to do my resuscitation, while holding her own breath. I wriggled within her arms from astonishment and fear, but Michiru quickly adjusted her lips and her grip around my back so that I wouldn't break the seal.

Then, noting that my coughing had subsided, she slowly started to push in air - air through which I was able to feel her warmth and moisture, despite the cold water that was all around us. It was nourishing, and tasted surprisingly fresh. And soon enough I was sucking in hard for it, like a restless chick who cannot wait to be fed by his mother bird. My suction sometimes even outpaced Michiru, so much that its force strengthened the vacuum and drew us even closer. I was almost like draining her, desperate to save myself.

I hardly had any good eyesight then, but I did note Michiru's long dark hair and her very white thighs flicker in the cave's dim light. We might have been doing so for over a minute - and I was wondering if I had ever kissed a girl this hot and for this long.
